Creating Your Mental Barriers

Helping yourself to develop mental finesse, as I call it, can be a hard task. To try and explain it briefly I would tell yourself to take your mind off the action you are doing to help remove the sensitivity and distract yourself. This will, therefore, help you to overcome premature ejaculation.

It is so much harder to beat premature ejaculation than it is to talk about it, as it is a case of will power. Firstly there is the mental image trick, which is simply as it says on the tin. You may have heard ‘Margaret Thatcher on a cold day’ said on TV, and that is basically what this is. Think of something that is non sexual, and could even turn you off a little. Do not start this technique when you enter your partner, but even before that. If you do this whenever anxious then you will soon be able to calm your nerves a little.

Instead of closing your eyes to help you focus on this (that could actually exacerbate the problem), try sex in the spooning position. Look around the room for points to focus on and maybe try thinking of how you could improve the place, for example. The aim, as you can see, is basically to distract yourself in part from the sensation of sex and ultimately increase the amount of time that it takes for you to reach orgasm via this.

Don’t just assume this will magically work during sex. First try is during masturbation. Put on some X rated movies and get yourself close to orgasm before slowing your speed and looking around the room, applying what has been said above. Let yourself lose a little hardness and then focus again on what is happening in front of you. Keep doing this until you get a little closer each time, and then let yourself lose a slight amount of your erection again (not to the point of only being semi hard). If it is the sound of a woman that triggers you then start with the movie on silent and slowly turn up the volume as you go on.

Physical sensations can also distract you, so try biting your lip (not too hard) or pushing down on your thumb with the fingers of the same hand. The pain will help dull the sensation, and maybe even lead to a fetish, as pain is held as more important than reproduction in the human brain.
